Jamie Benizri candidat aux élections municipales DDO

DOLLARD-DES-ORMEAUX, September 8, 2017 — Jamie Benizri, CEO and founder of the young, innovative and rapidly growing law firm Legal Logik is running for a counsellor seat in District 4 of the Town of Dollard-des-Ormeaux (DDO) during the upcoming election in November 2017.

Born and raised in DDO, Jamie continues to live in the community with his wife, also a DDO native, and two children, who attend schools in DDO and are active in various DDO sports and organizations and other extracurricular activities in the area.

As founder and CEO of Legal Logik, now an award-winning law firm with offices in Montreal, Quebec City and Saguenay, Jamie continues to challenge industry standards with an entirely new approach to law that continues to see rapid growth. A true believer in entrepreneurship, as a counsellor of Dollard-des-ormeaux, Jamie’s efforts will aim to revitalize commerce in the community through initiatives that support entrepreneurship and local economic development.

Having previously worked as a prosecutor for the city of Montreal, Jamie regularly enforced Municipal by-laws for Dollard-des-Ormeaux and worked closely with the town’s security team and elected officials. As such, Jamie has also emphasized his desire to increase transparency in municipal politics as he has done in the legal world, to create a conversation and awareness around the decisions affecting DDO residents.

  • A supporter of Erasing Hate, a movement started by DDO-Native Corey Fleischer to for the removal of hate crimes in the public domain.
  • Founder of the Run to Remember, an initiative launched in partnership with the Montreal Holocaust Memorial Centre.

Jamie also acts as legal counsel to Carlos Leitao, Quebec’s Minister of Finance during the elections for the Quebec Liberal Party in the riding of Robert-Baldwin.

Jamie is also Director of Startup Grind Montreal, a Google-powered entrepreneurship initiative, designed to educate, inspire, and connect entrepreneurs with monthly events at Montreal’s W Hotel.
